Eastwood High School hosted the biggest Girl Powered event in the world just last year. We were recognized at Wolrds for this remarkable achievement that could'nt have been possible wihtout the help from our administration and our dedicated robotics team members. We are eternally greatful for this oportunity which allowed us to make such a tremendous difference in over 350 girls. Our greatest mission is not only to win nor attend Worlds, there is a greater purpose in being in robotics for us. This is to make a real life impact in girls' lives now more than ever. We encourage all girls to undertsand that they have the same capabilities as boys do. The same intelligence and the same will. We, Eastwood Robotics, do everything in our power to inspire girls around us to join the STEM field, knowing it's a safe environment for them as much as it is for boys. If anyone says you can not do something, let that push you even more to persevere. As Mae Jemison, physicist and astronaut, said: "Don't let anyone rob you of your imagination, your creativity, or your curiosity."
